UPSC IES/ISS Notification 2025: Application Begins For 47 Vacancies

UPSC : The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has started accepting online applications for the Indian Economic Service (IES) and Indian Statistical Service (ISS) Exam 2025. Interested and eligible candidates can apply on the official website upsc.gov.in until March 4, 2025. A correction window will be open from March 5 to March 11, 2025, allowing candidates to make changes to their applications.

UPSC IES/ISS Vacancy 2025

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced a total of 47 vacancies for the following posts:

  • Indian Economic Service (IES): 12 vacancies
  • Indian Statistical Service (ISS): 35 vacancies

UPSC IES/ISS Eligibility Criteria 2025

Educational Qualification

  • Indian Economic Service (IES):
    Candidates must have a Post-Graduate Degree in Economics, Applied Economics, Business Economics, or Econometrics from a recognized university or institute in India or abroad, approved by the Central Government.
  • Indian Statistical Service (ISS):
    Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree with Statistics, Mathematical Statistics, or Applied Statistics as one of the subjects or a Master’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematical Statistics, or Applied Statistics from a recognized university or institute in India or abroad, approved by the Central Government.

Age Limit

Candidates must be between 21 to 30 years of age as of the specified date in the notification.

Application Fee

Candidates need to pay an application fee of Rs 200, except for female, SC, ST, and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates, who are exempted from the fee.

Steps To Apply For UPSC IES/ISS 2025 Recruitment

Step 1: Visit the official website of UPSC at upsconline.gov.in.

Step 2: Now click on the link that reads, ‘ONE TIME REGISTRATION (OTR) FOR EXAMINATIONS OF UPSC AND ONLINE APPLICATION’.

Step 3: Register and complete the application form.

Step 4: Pay the required fee and submit the form.

Step 5: Download and print the application for future reference
