TNPSC Group 4 Recruitment 2024: After Releasing Results, Commission Increases Vacancy To 9491
TNPSC : The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has increased the total number of vacancies for the Group 4 services recruitment examination. The commission has increased the seats to 9,491 positions following the third addendum. While initially there were 6,244 vacancies, around 2688 seats were added later taking the total number of vacancies to 8932. It has further been revised now.
As per the official notice, the commission has notified 402 vacancies for the Village Administrative Officer under the Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service, 559 vacancies under the Tamil Nadu Forest Subordinate Service for Forest Guards, 645 for Forest Watchers, 220 for Forest Watchers Tribal Youth and 176 for Forest Guards with a driving license.
TNPSC has also notified about 43 vacancies for Junior Assistant cum Typist at the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority and 17 for Junior Assistant (Admin Staff) with the State Express Transport Corporation of Tamil Nadu Limited. As many as 30 vacancies have been notified for Executive Officer (Grade-IV) under the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department.
Meanwhile, TNPSC Group 4 results were declared on Monday, October 28. Candidates who took the exam can check the results via the official website of TNPSC, tnpsc.gov.in, by using their registration number and other login credentials, as directed.
To clear the TNPSC Group 4 examination, candidates must score a minimum of 90 marks out of 300. The three-hour exam consists of 300 marks. It includes objective questions on subjects like General Studies, Aptitude and Mental Ability, and other specific subjects related to SSLC or Class 10 level. There are a total of 200 questions and each question carries 1.5 marks. There is no negative marking in this examination.
This year, around 15.8 lakh applicants took the test, which was held at 7,247 examination centres across the state. The answer key for TNPSC Group 4 was released on June 18 and the candidates were given a seven-day window until June 25 to raise objections, if any. Candidates who have cleared their Class 10 board exam can only apply for the exam. The age limit to apply is typically between 18 and 30 years but there are relaxations for the reserved category candidates.
