NEET UG Counselling 2024: MCC Releases Notice For Candidates
NEET UG Counselling : The Medical Counselling Committee has issued an important notification regarding the candidates wishing to resign their seats in Round 1 and Round 2 of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Undergraduate (UG) Counselling 2024. As per the notice, the deadline to resign their assigned seat is October 1. The authority came to this decision in response to numerous requests from the candidates.
The notification reads, “It is to inform all the candidates that requests are being received from UG candidates who wish to resign their Round-1 or Round-2 seats for various reasons. In this scenario, the competent authority has decided to allow such candidates to resign from their seats. The applicants who desire to leave their Round-1 or Round-2 seat can do so up to 05:00 P.M of 01.10.2024.”
NEET UG Counselling 2024: Important Instructions
The committee has mentioned the following instructions for the candidates wishing to resign from their allotted seats:
Round-1 candidates who did not receive an upgrade in Round-2 of counselling can resign from their seats without losing their security deposit within the given deadline.
Freshly allotted Round-2 candidates who choose to resign may do so by forfeiting their security deposit within the specified time frame. Candidates who received an upgrade in Round 2 and joined the seat but now want to resign can do so by forfeiting their seats within the stipulated time of resignation.
To resign their seats, candidates need to report to their allotted institute.
Candidates must generate their resignation letter online (via MCC’s website) otherwise the resignation would be considered ‘Null & Void’.
The MCC NEET UG Counselling Round 2 seat allotment results were announced on September 19. Candidates satisfied with the result need to report to their allotted institute for the document verification process by today, September 27.
The MCC administers NEET UG counselling every year in four rounds for 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) seats in MBBS and BDS programmes offered by government and private medical and dental institutes.
