IISER IAT 2025 Registration Process Deferred, To Begin On March 10 Now

IAT 2025 : The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) has deferred the registration process to March 10. Earlier, the applications were set to commence on March 5 but it has now been postponed. Through the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2025, admission will be given to the BS-MS dual degree programme and four-year BS degrees offered by the institutes.

Interested candidates who want to apply can do so by visiting the official website of IISER, iiseradmission.in. The last date to apply is April 15, 2025. The exam form correction window will remain open from April 21 to 22. The admit card will be released on May 15, 2025, and the entrance test will be held on May 25, 2025. The answer key will be issued on the same day after the conclusion of the exam.

Eligibility Criteria for IISER IAT 2025

General Category (GEN) and Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL): Candidates must have at least 60% marks in class 12th or equivalent examination in the science stream.

Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD): Candidates must have a minimum of 55% marks.

IISER IAT 2025: Application Fee

Last year, the application fee for candidates applying under the General, EWS, OBC, and OBC-NCL categories was Rs 2,000. For Persons with Disabilities (PwD), persons registered as Kashmiri Migrants (KM), and SC/ST category, it was Rs 1000.

Exam Pattern for IISER IAT 2025

The IISER entrance exam will be based on multiple-choice questions (MCQs). A total of 60 questions will be asked from four subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Maths, and Physics. There will be 15 questions from each subject. The exam will be for a duration of 180 minutes (three hours). It will feature multiple-choice questions with only one correct answer. Each correct answer will carry four marks. One mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. If any question is left blank, no marks will be awarded. The exam will carry a maximum of 240 marks.
