Civil Engineering Admission 2025
The admission process for civil engineering courses involves both merit and entrance exam scores. Students must meet the minimum eligibility criteria. Many prestigious engineering institutes also conduct entrance exams to shortlist candidates. Typically, the process includes the following steps:
Entrance Exams: Most institutes require candidates to appear for national or state-level entrance exams such as JEE Main, JEE Advanced, GATE, COMEDK UGET, BITSAT, etc.
Counselling: Based on exam scores, candidates participate in counselling to choose their preferred colleges and specialisations.
Document Verification: Selected candidates must submit documents for verification, including Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, a government-approved ID, caste certificates (if applicable), and other required documents.

Diploma in Civil Engineering:
A three-year diploma course available after Class 10. Admission requires at least 50 per cent marks with Science and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, and English must also be studied.
