Union education minister to launch BS in electronic systems programme at IIT Madras today

Today, the Indian Institute of Technology IIT Madras will host a brand-new program that will be introduced by Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan. At 11 a.m., the brand-new bachelor of science (BS) in electronic systems program will begin. YouTube will live stream the launch of the new BS in electronic systems program.

Additionally, students enrolled in the BS in electronic systems will have the option to complete the program earlier and earn a certificate or diploma at the foundation level.

The institute stated earlier that the program will be launched by the union education minister: To meet the significant and growing demand for skilled graduates in the electronics and embedded systems sector in India, IIT Madras is launching a BS degree program in Electronic Systems. Professor V Kamakoti, director of IIT Madras, will preside over the event. At the launch, Pawan Kumar Goenka, the institute’s chair of the board of governors, will be the guest of honor.

Professors S Aniruddhan and Boby George from the institute’s electrical engineering department are expected to oversee the program. Anyone, regardless of age, job title, or geographical location, who holds a Class 12 (or equivalent) certificate is eligible to apply for the new BS program. Students who have completed their 11th grade with Physics and Mathematics as their majors will also be eligible to apply. After completing their 12th grade, qualified students can begin the BS program.
