UGC launches its new website, 2 more portals for UTSAH

University Grants Commission chairman UGC, Jagadesh Kumar sent off the controllers’ shiny new online interface for Undertaking Transformative Strategies and Actions in Higher Education (UTSAH) and teacher of training plan on Tuesday. The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 implementation progress can be shared on the UTSAH platform.

The higher education regulator will be able to effectively monitor and support the implementation of transformative reforms and strategic initiatives across Indian universities with the help of the website. Talking at the send off, Kumar said: ” UGC has upgraded its site to make it more unique where data has been portrayed by the requirements of the partners.

The new site incorporates channels so data can be effectively arranged with watchwords. In the event of questions, the website also contains the contact information for bureau heads. “The new website contains information on key initiatives, regulations, circular notices, information about various types of universities, dashboards, and e-Governance portals of UGC initiatives and schemes.” Kumar urged universities to regularly visit the website to register data on how NEP 2020 is being implemented at their institutions.

Universities will be able to submit data on their progress and efforts in key NEP 2020 areas like learner-centered education, digital learning, industry-institute collaboration, academic research, internationalization, and the Indian Knowledge System by making use of the UTSAH Portal. Kumar added, “The UTSAH Portal will function as a comprehensive platform that will provide in-depth information about the initiatives of the UGC for qualitative reforms in higher education.” Kumar stated that various Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT), National Institutes of Technology (NIT), and Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) participated in the development of the new website.

The UGC chairman stated when the web portal for professors of practice was launched: Our nation has a colossal ability pool of specialists from various fields who have dealt with ground. On the off chance that they can show in schools, understudies will be more ready for the workplace outside the instructive foundations.” In order to create a significant pool of industry experts, the UGC will write to industry experts and organizations like the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
