SEBA HSLC Board Exams: Assamese paper cancelled due to paper leak
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said about SEBA HSLC on Thursday evening that the Assamese paper has also been leaked, days after the general science question paper for the Class 10 state board exam was leaked. The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) has been advised by Sarma to reschedule the exam and cancel it.
“I have been informed that the arrested accused center in charge of Luhit Khabalu HS School has admitted to leaking Assamese paper during interrogation.” As a result, Sarma tweeted, “I have advised SEBA to reschedule the Assamese exam as well.”
“As advised by HCM @CMOfficeAssam, the exam for all MIL subjects, including English (IL) of HSLC, which was scheduled for March 18 will be rescheduled,” SEBA informed me. He tweeted, “The new date will be announced tomorrow.”
Students in Dima Hasao, West Karbi Anglong, and Karbi Anglong districts study English (in lieu) rather than MIL Assamese. MIL subjects include Bengali, Bodo, Hindi, Manipuri, Hmar, Nepali, Mizo, Khasi, Garo, Karbi, and Urdu in addition to Assamese.
On Sunday night, the general science question paper for the Class 10 matriculation exam was leaked, so the Monday exam was canceled.
The subject exam will now be held on March 30, according to a SEBA announcement.
