Adani Group, TCS top recruiters in IIM Ahmedabad MBA placements

Today marked the conclusion of the final placement process for the MBA class of 2023 of the Post Graduate Programme (PGP) in Management at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM Ahmedabad). Approximately 280 roles were filled this year by 188 companies.

There were two stages to the placement process. The first was the laterals process, in which companies interviewed students who had previous work experience and offered them positions at the mid-level managerial level. 36 businesses from a variety of industries, including technology, banking, finance, consulting, and analytics, took part in this.

In the second stage, businesses were divided into cohorts based on their core business and invited to campus from various clusters. There were 106 applications for this stage.

The number of net offers for the Conglomerate cohort increased by 135% this year, the number of net offers for the Private Equity, Venture Capital, and Asset management cohort increased by close to 19%, and the number of net offers for the Cards and Financial Advisory cohort increased by 20% compared to last year.

In the Overall Administration area, Adani made the biggest number of offers (counting the pre-situation offers) – 10, firmly followed by Essar Gathering, which carried out 8 offers. With ten offers (including PPOs), Tata Consultancy Services was the most prominent recruiter in the IT Consulting cohort.

IIM-A saw a large number of recruiters visiting the campus, but only a few logged in from remote locations, despite the institute’s hybrid mode option.

Arthur D. Little, Alvarez & Marsal, Bain & Co., Boston Consulting Group, Kearney, KPMG, McKinsey & Company, Monitor Deloitte, PwC, and others were among the consulting recruiting firms. A91 Partners, Arpwood Capital, ARGA Investment, Avendus, Bank of America, Citibank, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, JP Morgan Chase & Co., Kotak, Morgan Stanley, and Premji Invest were notable recruiters in the Investment Banking & Markets, Private Equity, Venture Capital, and Asset Management sectors.

American Express, Angel One, IDFC First Bank, IIFL Securities, and Mastercard were among the recruiters for the Banking, Financial Services & Insurance, and Cards & Financial Advisory divisions. Adobe, Atlassian, Ikigai Labs, and Oracle are among the well-known Enterprise Tech recruiters that made offers.

McKinsey & Company and Boston Consulting Group were among the firms that made the most offers on campus during the Finals placement process. At the conclusion of the final placement process, McKinsey & Company had the most offers—including PPOs—with 34, followed by Boston Consulting Group with 33 offers.
