NEET results 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) director general, Subodh Kumar Singh, said an expert committee has been formed to look into the grace marks provided by the NTA in NEET results 2024. Speaking at a press conference held today to address the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG 2024) irregularities, the NTA chief informed that around 1,600 NEET aspirants were affected, however, the “integrity of the exam was not compromised”.

The NTA chief told reporters, “If necessary, results will be revised for 1,600 candidates based on the committee’s recommendations.” The NEET UG 2024 test was hung on May 5 for north of 24 lakh applicants at 4,750 unique habitats situated in 571 urban areas. According to the DG NTA, only 1,600 of the 24 lakh students who appeared in six exam centers were affected.

At first, there were 17 students in the top. “The issue is about six centers affecting approximately 1600 candidates because of wrong distribution of question paper and torn OMR sheet,” 44 candidates received marks ranging from 715 to 720 as a result of the Physics answer challenge. “The number of toppers went to 61 (17+44).” They affirmed that they got less time. Candidates were so concerned that they went to High Courts and asked for a retest or time compensation. As a result, we informed the court about the committee’s formation. The petition was denied by the HC. “When our committee met, they discovered that students should be compensated for lost time,” DG NTA Subodh Kumar Singh told reporters.
