Karnataka NMMS Scholarship: The Karnataka School Quality Assessment and Accreditation Council (KSQAAC) has started the registration process for the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS 2023) for Class 8 students yesterday.

School directors and head administrators will actually want to fill the application types of qualified understudies on the Karnataka NMMS 2023 grant at the authority site, kseeb.karnataka.gov.in, till October 4. To take the exam, students can choose between Kannada, English, Urdu, Marathi, and Telugu. It will be led by the KSQAAC on December 17.

Candidates for the scholarship must have earned at least 55% or higher in their seventh grade class. The students ought to have attended public, public-aided, or public-owned schools. Their family pay ought not be more than Rs 3.5 lakh will be considered for the NMMS grants.

For continued scholarship in higher secondary school, students must pass the Class 10 board exam with a score of at least 60% and the Class 11 exam with a score of 55% or higher on their first attempt. The SC and ST categories will receive a 5 percent relaxation.

Karnataka NMMS: Steps to apply

  1. Visit the official website, kseeb.karnataka.gov.in/NTSENMMS
  2. Click on the ‘Login’ link.
  3. Enter default username and password and generate password.
  4. Login to your account using your registration number and password.
  5. Fill in the required details and upload your passport-size photograph and save it.
  6. A printout of the application along with the format for the certificate from the Head of the School/Institution (HOI) should be taken out.
  7. The HOI Certificate must be signed with an official seal and uploaded the signed Certificate to his/her account along with a scanned copy of (i) the Income certificate of the parent (ii) the first page of the bank passbook (iii) the saste certificate (iv) the Disability certificate
  8. Then press the ‘Finalise application’ button.
