IIT Kanpur: The department of humanities and social sciences, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Kanpur), organised the first national research scholars’ conference ‘Anviksha’. The two-day conference was based on the theme ‘Boundaries’. The participants discussed domains such as modes of sociality, political discourse, identity formation, and literary and aesthetic production.

The conference received over 500 submissions from all over the country. A blind peer review process selected 48 abstracts for the final presentation. The meeting had 12 boards zeroing in on topics like orientation, struggle, advanced wildernesses, urbanization and information.

Head of humanities and sociologies division Smaller than expected Chandran shared bits of knowledge into the conceptualisation of the subject and communicated confidence about the meeting advancing into a yearly scholastic feature for researchers from one side of the country to the other.

English and Unknown dialect College (EFLU Hyderabad) Ipshita Chanda gave the feature address on the requirement for morally captivating majority. She underlined how humanities research, to be significant, should end in an acknowledgment about the idea of the human through a connection of self to the world and requirements to get through fixed perspectives about lives.

Janaki Abraham from the Delhi School of Financial matters, as a featured expert for the subsequent day, got from her hands on work to address rule-based limits of ceremonies and customs, turning a humanistic eye to wedding customs.
