CAPF constable exam being conducted in 13 regional languages for first time
CAPF : For the first time, the constable recruitment examination in the Central Armed Police Forces such as the CRPF, BSF and CISF will be conducted in 13 regional languages apart from Hindi and English. The examination are being conducted from February 10 to March 7 and around 48 lakh candidates are appearing in 128 cities across the country, according to an official statement. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the guidance of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) had decided to conduct the constable (general duty) examination for recruitment in CAPFs in 13 regional languages in addition to Hindi and English from January 1, 2024.
It stated that the home minister initiated this “historic decision” to promote regional languages and increase local youth participation in the Central Armed Police Forces. Notwithstanding Hindi and English, the inquiry papers will presently be ready in the accompanying 13 local dialects: Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Odia, Urdu, Punjabi, Manipuri and Konkani.
The constable assessment is one of the lead enrollment tests directed by the Staff Choice Commission (SSC) drawing in lakhs of young people from the nation over. The MHA and Staff Determination Commission have marked a MoU to work with the lead of the assessment in the 13 territorial dialects notwithstanding Hindi and English. As a result, the SSC has issued a notification regarding this issue. The choice will bring about lakhs of youth participating in the assessment in their native language or territorial language and further develop their determination possibilities.
