Stenographer Recruitment 2024 : The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the notification for the SSC Stenographer Exam 2024 on July 26, 2024. The registration process for the recruitment exam will end today, August 17, 2024. Candidates can register from the official website of SSC at ssc.gov.in. This recruitment drive aims to fill a vacancy of 2,006 for Grade C and Grade D stenographers. The online correction window will be available from August 27 to 28, 2024 and the exam will be conducted in October-November 2024. The SSC Stenographer exam is a national-level competitive examination conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) of India. This exam recruits’ stenographers for Grade C (Group B Non-Gazetted) and Grade D (Group C) positions in various ministries, departments and organisations of the Indian government.
The stenographers are in charge of converting spoken words into written form, frequently during conferences, meetings, or speeches. Additionally, they assist with official document preparation and perform clerical and administrative duties.
Candidates must have passed the equivalent of their 12th grade exam from a recognized board. For Grade C registration, one must be between the ages of 18 and 30 (born between August 2, 1994 and August 1, 2006). 18 to 27 years old (born between August 2, 1997 and August 1, 2006) are eligible for Grade D registration
SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024: Steps to Apply
Step 1: Visit the official website: ssc.gov.in.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Register Now’ link and login yourself .
Step 3: To register candidates must provide personal information including name, parental names, birth date, email, and mobile number.
Step 4: Submit the registration form.
Step 5: Log in using your provided Registration ID, birth date and password.
Step 6: Upload scanned photograph and signature.
Step 7: Pay the application fee.
Step 8: Review the form and submit it.
Step 9: Take a printout or screenshot of it for future reference.
General and OBC candidates must pay Rs 100 for their applications. The fee is not due by SC/ST/PWD/Ex-Servicemen or female candidates.
