West Bengal Police to Recruit 1420 Constables

West Bengal Police Recruitment 2023: The WBPRB has released a notification stating that there are 1,420 vacancies for the position of Lady Constable. The registration process for these vacancies will commence on April 23.

Candidates who are eligible and interested in applying for the Lady Constable vacancies can submit their application forms on wbpolice.gov.in and prb.wb.gov.in websites. The last date for submitting the application is May 22.

To apply for the Lady Constable vacancies, the candidate must have attained the age of 18 years and should not exceed 30 years as of January 1, 2023. Reserved category candidates are eligible for relaxation in the upper age limit as per the rules.

According to the WBPRB, only the date of birth mentioned on the Madhyamik or equivalent admit card/certificate will be considered valid proof for age verification purposes.

To be eligible for the Lady Constable vacancies, applicants are required to have passed the Madhyamik examination from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent. They must also be able to read, write and speak in the Bengali language, except for the permanent residents of hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong districts who are exempted from this requirement.

The selection process for the Lady Constable vacancies will include a preliminary written exam or screening test, followed by Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), a final written examination, and an interview. Candidates will be selected based on their performance in all these stages of the selection process.
