UPPSC Exam Date Protest

Thousands of UPPSC aspirants protested against the conduction of PCS Prelims 2024 and Review Officer and Assistant Review Officer (RO/ARO) preliminary examinations on multiple days in multiple shifts. Taking part in the protest on November 11, the aspirants demanded “One Day, One Shift, No Normalisation”.

On Thursday, as the protest entered its third day, the commission agreed to conduct the PCS preliminary exam 2024 in a single shift. Accepting the demands of the aspirants, the UPPSC on Thursday postponed the Review Officer (RO) and Assistant Review Officer (ARO) exams and announced to hold the Provincial Civil Services (PCS) preliminary exam on the old pattern.

The Commission’s decision came after Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took cognizance of the demand of the students and asked the Commission to take necessary decisions by communicating and coordinating with the candidates.
