Telangana schools to introduce French for Classes 6 to 12 students

Telangana schools: The Telangana schools Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TSWREIS) and the Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TTWREIS) has signed an agreement with the Institut Français en Inde (IFI – The French Institute in India) to introduce French in schools of the state.

In the experimental run program, French will be presented in around 20 school associated to TSWREIS or TTWREIS. In the wake of taking note of the interest shown by the understudies, it will be extended to different schools. Classes 5-12 will be taught the language.

Under the association, the IFI will prepare TSWREIS and TTWREIS educators in open French. Students will also be able to use its academic and cultural platforms. It will likewise coordinate studios and workshops to illuminate understudies about college concentrates on in France and grant open doors.

The understanding was endorsed by E Naveen Nicolas, secretary, TSWREIS, Emmanuel Lebruns-Damiens, overseer of the French Foundation in India and Thierry Berthelot, representative general of France in Bangalore.

Nicolas expressed admiration for the French Institute in India’s strong interest in the partnership, which is unique in Telangana. The pursuit of social justice can be accomplished in novel ways through education. In addition to laying the groundwork for success in a world that is increasingly interconnected, the partnership will also concentrate on enhancing the capacity of in-house teachers to eventually teach French.
