SBI PO Recruitment 2024: Prelims Exam Date Announced, To Commence On March 8

SBI :The State Bank of India (SBI) has announced the recruitment exam dates for Probationary Officer (PO) vacancies. The exam will be conducted on March 8, 16 and 24, 2025. Candidates who applied for SBI PO Recruitment 2024 can check the official notice on the website at sbi.co.in. The bank had initially announced that the Phase I preliminary recruitment exam would be held on March 8 and 15. The prelims exam admit card will be released in the third or fourth week of February.

A total of 600 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment drive. This includes 586 regular posts and 14 backlog vacancies. If selected for the PO posts, candidates will receive a salary of Rs 41,960 per month.

SBI PO Recruitment 2024: Prelims Exam Pattern

The SBI Clerk Preliminary Examination (online) consists of objective-type questions with a total of 100 marks, to be completed in one hour. The test is divided into three sections: English Language (30 marks), Numerical Ability (30 marks), and Reasoning (35 marks). Candidates will have 20 minutes to complete each section, with each question worth one mark. A penalty of one-fourth of the mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

SBI PO Recruitment 2024: What After Prelims Exam?

Those who clear the phase 1 exam will next be called for phase 2 or the main exam. It is scheduled to take place in April or May 2025. The SBI PO mains is an online exam that is categorised into two main parts – objective and descriptive. Conducted for three hours, the objective sections carry 200 marks and will test your knowledge and analytical skills. The descriptive test follows immediately after, accounting for a total of 50 marks. This section includes an essay and a letter. Candidates successful in the written examination will be called for an interview and document verification.

To apply for the exam, a candidate must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government. They must be between 21 years and 30 years of age.
