NEET UG 2024: Stray Vacancy Round Choice Filling Ends, Seat Allotment Result On October 29

NEET UG 2024 : The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has closed the NEET UG Counselling 2024 stray round choice filling today, October 26. This was the last round for undergraduate seats under NEET 2024. As per MCC, the stray vacancy round registration began on October 25 for 1,184 seats. The official schedule states that the seat allocation will take place between October 26 and October 28. The results of the stray vacancy round seat allocation will be announced on October 29.

Candidates who secure a seat in the stray vacancy round can report to the designated colleges from October 30 to November 5. Candidates are advised to download the allotment letter from the MCC website before approaching the designated institution or institute.

Reporting and Joining at Allotted College – October 30 to November

Candidates must note that those who do not take their assigned seat during the stray vacancy round will forfeit their security deposit and will not be permitted to take the NEET exam the following year. Candidates who join the MCC-conducted Round 3 will have their data shared with the state counselling authorities, and they will not be allowed to enroll in state quota counselling.

After being assigned a seat, a candidate must report to the specified college to finish the admissions procedures. Candidates must bring the original copies of the designated documents when they report to the designated college.

The NEET UG stray vacancy round was held for 15% of seats in all government medical and dental colleges and 100% of seats in Deemed and Central Universities, ESIC, AFMC, AIIMS and JIPMER, the MCC NEET counselling 2024. This year, the NEET UG exam was held on May 5 and conducted by the National Testing Agency. The exam was held in pen and paper mode in 557 Indian cities. Candidates should visit the MCC’s official website for additional relevant information.
