RPSC EO, RO Exam 2022 Cancelled Over Cheating Scandal; Re-Exam Date Released

RO Exam 2022 : Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has cancelled the RPSC EO, RO exam 2022 that was held on May 14, 2023. The commission has also released the new schedule for Revenue Officer Grade II and Executive Officer Class IV posts on the official website – rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in. The cancellation of the examination comes after the commission received confirmed information that the integrity and confidentiality of the examination were breached during its conduct

In its official notification, the commission stated that following multiple FIRs, an investigation revealed that cheating occurred through electronic devices at the examination centres. The commission also verified the documents of several candidates and, after a thorough review, has decided to cancel the examination. The commission will now conduct the re-examination for RPSC EO, RO Recruitment 2022 on March 23, 2025.

“The examination for Revenue Officer Grade II and Executive Officer Group IV, held on 14.05.2023 (under the Department of Autonomous Governance), has been canceled. This examination is now proposed to be held on 23.03.2025,” stated the official notification.

“In light of the above facts, the commission has found that there was a complete lack of integrity at certain examination centres during the conduct of the exam. Following the filing of three FIRs related to candidates cheating via Bluetooth, and upon investigation, it has been confirmed that the integrity and confidentiality of the Revenue Officer Grade II and Executive Officer Class IV (under the Department of Autonomous Governance) examination, held on 14.05.2023, have been compromised,” RPSC stated in another notice.

A total of 1,96,483 candidates appeared for the Revenue Officer Grade 2 examination which was held on May 14, 2023.

Meanwhile, the Commission has also rescheduled the examination for the examination for Public Relations Officer (under the Department of Information and Public Relations). Earlier the RPSC PRO 2024 exam was scheduled for March 23, 2025, however, it is now rescheduled to be conducted on May 17, 2025.
