NEET UG 2024: NMC Releases Updated Syllabus
NEET UG 2024 : The National Medical Commission (NMC) has revised the syllabus of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2024. The detailed syllabus can now be accessed on the official website of NMC at nmc.org as well as on the official portal of the National Testing Agency (NTA) at nta.ac.in.
“It is notified to all the stakeholders especially to the aspiring candidates that the Under Graduate Medical Education Board, an autonomous body under National Medical Commission has finalized the NEET (UG) – 2025 Syllabus,” Shambhu Sharan Singh, Director, UGMEB, said in an official notice.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the NEET UG 2024 on May 5. The online registration dates are yet to be announced. The exam is usually held in pen-and-paper test covering Physics, Chemistry, and Biology curricula from Class 11 and 12 textbooks, administered in 13 languages.
However, for 2025, the education and health ministries are currently deciding whether to conduct the NEET-UG medical entrance exam in pen-and-paper mode or shift it to online mode. “The administrative ministry of NEET is the Health Ministry, and we are in talks with them to decide whether NEET should be conducted in pen-and-paper mode or online mode. We have already conducted two rounds of talks with the Health Ministry led by JP Nadda. Whatever option is deemed best for conducting the exam, the NTA is prepared to implement it,” Pradhan told reporters.
