Manav Rachna University : Manav Rachna University (MRU) has installed a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver on its campus. The installation was done in collaboration with the National Atmospheric Research Laboratory (NARL) of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).

The university’s installation of the GNSS receiver is part of the NARL north-south chain of receivers used for research on weather, climate, space weather, and planetary ionospheres, as stated in the official press release.

The occasion was worked with by a group of NARL-ISRO researchers including, the top of the ionosphere and space physical science bunch at NARL, Nirvikar Dashora and researcher engineer, Himanshu S Sethi. At the Manav Rachna campus, they were in charge of installing a GNSS infrastructure that included a laptop, iron mast, GNSS receiver, antenna, 30M RF cable, and other components.

According to the establishment, researchers from NARL ISRO conveyed a discussion on GNSS collectors, planning to urge the staff to participate in multidisciplinary research in the areas of barometrical and space research.

Deependra Kumar Jha, vice-chancellor of MRU, stated the following regarding the installation: The establishment of a GNSS beneficiary in a joint effort with NARL and ISRO is a milestone accomplishment. Our dedication to pioneering advancements in atmospheric and space research is exemplified by this in addition to our newly established space research laboratory.
