Jharkhand Board Class 10 Science And Hindi Exams Cancelled Due To Question Paper Leak
Jharkhand Board : The Jharkhand Academic Council or JAC has cancelled the matric Science and Hindi exams after reports of a question paper leak surfaced. The JAC chairman has ordered the Deputy Commissioners of Koderma and Giridih to investigate the matter. The board has asked for a report from the district administration within 24 hours. Social media portals are being questioned. JAC chairman N Hansda said that an order has been given to investigate the entire matter.
The question papers were sold for Rs. 350. The Hindi exam was conducted on February 18 and the Science exam was conducted on February 20 at various examination centres. However, before the Hindi exam, the question paper went viral on social media. Before the Science exam held on Thursday, from Wednesday onwards, there were reports that the science question papers had been made available to people for Rs. 350 through WhatsApp groups. After the completion of the exam in the first shift on Thursday, when the viral question papers were compared with the questions asked by JAC, many questions were found to be similar.
After the matter came to the notice of the Jharkhand Academic Council, the Council Secretary issued an order on Thursday afternoon cancelling the Hindi and Science exams. The Jharkhand board has stated that the revised dates will be announced later.
The Jharkhand Board exams started on February 11. The exam is being held in two shifts. The board exams are to end on March 3, however, now after the cancellation of two papers, they will likely be extended. This time around 7 lakh students are appearing in the JAC Board Matriculation exam.
The JAC class 10 exams are being held in the morning shift from 9:45 am to 1 pm and intermediate exams are being conducted in the afternoon shift from 2 pm to 5:20 pm. This time 1305 examination centres have been made for the matriculation board examination and 795 for the intermediate.
