IITs New Courses: BTech in Chemical Engineering
IITs New Courses: IIT Indore has introduced a new course, the BTech in Chemical Engineering, for the academic year 2023-24. The objective of this programme is to offer students a comprehensive understanding of the field through a multidisciplinary and practical approach.
The BTech in Chemical Engineering course is also offered by 16 other IITs across India, including IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kharagpur, and others.
The programme’s structure and curriculum have been developed by top academic experts from India and around the world. It covers both traditional and modern topics in chemical engineering and offers multiple specializations such as Petrochemical, Biochemical, Energy, Pharmaceutical, Processing, and more.
The BTech in Chemical Engineering is a full-time undergraduate degree programme that spans four years and is divided into eight semesters. Each semester includes the study of six to seven subjects, along with elective options for students.
The admission process for the BTech in Chemical Engineering programme will be based on the JEE Advanced 2023 score. Candidates are required to have completed the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination from a recognized state or central board.
Chemical Engineering is one of the fundamental engineering disciplines, and the demand for chemical engineers is growing rapidly in several industries such as petrochemicals, biofuels, energy, food processing, and more.
