IIT Roorkee launches SPARK internship programme 2023

The SPARK internship program for 2023 has been launched by the Indian Institute of Technology IIT Roorkee. An annual flagship program of the institute is the IIT Roorkee internship program. IIT Roorkee offers internships to UG students from all over India through the SPARK program. For six to eight weeks, students will receive a weekly stipend of Rs 2,500. The internship program registration deadline is March 31.

As part of IIT Roorkee’s 175th anniversary celebrations, SPARK is providing 25 UG and 10 PG internships specifically for students from institutes within 200 kilometers of IIT Roorkee. The UG internship will have a maximum duration of six weeks, while the PG internship will have a maximum duration of six months.

According to a statement from the institute, the purpose of this internship program is to attract and cultivate talented undergraduate students across the nation. With faculty members from 26 academic departments and centers, selected students will collaborate on research projects.

This year temporary positions are additionally presented in the recently settled Mehta Family School of Information Science and Man-made reasoning. The internship registration deadline is March 31, but students can start their internships in the second week of May 2023. The results will be announced in April. Under the SPARK program, which began in 2018, IIT Roorkee has offered summer internships that were funded by the institute and projects. Over 15,000 applicants applied for the program the previous year, and more than 120 offered their services. IIT Roorkee Director KK Pant stated the following regarding SPARK: All engineering, science, and applied science students need to get practical, hands-on experience, especially if it is in an IIT setting.
