When the Level 1 and Level 2 courses were launched last year, they attracted a total of 1.42 lakh students.
According to Prof V. Kamakoti, the Director of IIT Madras, the Levels 1 and 2 courses for the ‘Out of the Box Thinking’ course were well-received by students across India. As the course is offered free of charge, it has the potential to greatly benefit school and college students, particularly those in rural India. Developing the ability to think differently is critical for innovation and entrepreneurship. By teaching students how to think creatively, the course aims to cultivate a generation of innovative and creative youth for the nation’s long-term benefit.
The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM) was established in 1959 as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India. IIT Madras comprises 16 academic departments and offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including BTech, MBA, MTech, and Ph.D. degrees.
