ICAI CA Result 2024: Female Students Secure Top 3 Ranks In Inter Exam
ICAI CA Result 2024 : The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the intermediate exam results for the September 2024 session today, October 30. Women students have secured all the top three ranks in the inter exam this time, Central Council Member (CCM) Dhiraj Khandelwal said as he shared the CA results on his official X (formerly Twitter) account.
The top three ranks have been secured by Parami Umesh Parekh from Mumbai with 484 marks or 80.67% followed by Tanya Gupta from Chennai with a score of 459 or 76.50%. Vidhi Jain from New Delhi has grabbed the third spot by securing 441 marks or 73.50%.
“The CA Intermediate results are out, and there’s a historic moment to celebrate—this time, all three top rankers are women. It’s a powerful sign of how the profession is shifting. Currently, women make up about 30% of ICAI’s membership, a number that’s expected to grow to 50% in the next five years. The progress has been remarkable: in 2008, there were only about 8,000 female members. By 2018, that number had soared to 80,000, and today, it has surpassed 125,000,” Khandelwal posted.
“More than just numbers, this trend reflects how accountancy is becoming a top career choice for women, often surpassing interest among men. It’s a sign of greater opportunities, changing perceptions, and a future where women are leading with expertise and dedication,” he added.
The institute published the foundation and inter results today, October 30. Candidates who took the September session exam can now check and download their scorecards on the official website of ICAI at icai.org. Candidates must secure a minimum of 40 per cent marks in each paper to pass. Furthermore, a cumulative aggregate of 50 marks across all four papers is mandatory for qualification.
The CA Foundation examination was conducted on September 13, 15, 18, and 20. The ICAI CA intermediate exam for Group 1 was held on September 12, 14, and 17, and Group 2 exam on September 19, 21, and 23.
