DDU Gorakhpur Implements New System To Ensure High-quality Research Publications
DDU Gorakhpur : The Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University has taken the initiative to ensure the quality of research and guide the students in the right direction. As per the reports of Local18, the new system was implemented by the university last month. It gives the candidates a chance to gauge how prestigious a journal is and whether it is a good choice for publication. Furthermore, according to the Vice President Pro. Pushpendra Tandon, to check the validity and quality of the journals, the candidate can visit websites like Simego, Research Gate and Web of Science Journal Info, also made available on the institution’s website. These websites would help a researcher in getting information on the reputation and prestige of a journal. It also gives an understanding of the recognition it holds on an international level.
Dr Avankar Singh Srivastava, the WebSEK administrator of the university, says that the objective behind the initiative is to assist scholars in publishing high-quality research papers, with the help of the mentioned resources. It would give a good idea to the researchers on how to create a paper which excels at the global criteria.
This initiative by the institution is expected to boost the quality of the research and will also help the scholars with choosing the right publishing platform. They hope to take the university to new heights of success.
Last month, the university made headlines for its honour towards the research students with the Research Excellence Awards. These were approved in an executive council meeting, which was led by the institution’s vice-chancellor Prof Poonam Tandon. The awards aim to motivate the scholars in conducting quality research which is at par with global standards.
