BHU English assistant professor Vivek Singh selected for Fulbright fellowship
The applicant for the Fulbright Fellowship is Vivek Singh, an assistant professor in the Department of English at Banaras Hindu University BHU. The cooperation has been granted for the ongoing scholastic year 2023-24. There is a nine-month fellowship. During this time, Singh will explore at the College of Mississippi. He will also teach Indian languages at the university in addition to this.
Singh said that he sees this as an opportunity to serve as the Indian Cultural Ambassador in the United States, and he commented on the opportunity. He needs to fortify the language and social ties among India and the US and study American social and social variety while advancing Indian language and culture, he added.
According to the USIEF’s official website, India receives over 350 Fulbright fellowships out of an annual total of 8,000 new Fulbright grants. Evaluation of previous academic records and leadership abilities are part of the Fulbright scholarship application process. The following categories of Fulbright fellowships are given out:
Scholarships for academics, teachers, and professionals who want to teach or conduct research in the United States; professional development programs for those who want to improve their leadership and skill development; and student awards for those who want to attend a US university or earn a Master’s degree.
