Assam government approves Assam Public Examination Ordinance, 2023 to curb cheating

Assam Public Examination Ordinance: The Assam government in its cabinet meeting has approved the Assam Public Examination (Measures for prevention of unfair means in examination) ordinance, 2023. The move comes to promote quality education in the state and prevent and curb unfair means at public examinations for recruitment in government jobs.

The cabinet also stated that the Madhabdev, Bhattadev and Rabindranath Tagore University will now affiliate colleges, including private colleges.

Alongside the statute, the bureau likewise supported work reservations in the Assam Public Assistance Commission (APSC) test of 3% booking for competitors from tea clans inside the generally OBC, MOBC classification for enlistment in the APSC assessment in grade 3 and grade 4.
