WB NEET UG Counselling 2024 Stray Vacancy Round Cancelled
WB NEET UG : The physical stray vacancy round has been cancelled by the Directorate of Medical Education, West Bengal from the NEET UG medical and dental counselling. Moreover, the Directorate has revised the minimum required marks in the qualifying examination for physics, chemistry, and biology for PWD candidates. For PWD candidates, as per NMC and DCI regulations, the minimum marks required in the qualifying exams for physics, chemistry, and biology combined will now be 40 per cent instead of 50 per cent.
There will now be three rounds to the West Bengal NEET UG counseling process: round 1, round 2, and round 3. The “inadvertent” error that led to the inclusion of the stray vacancy round was mentioned in the official notice from the WB counseling committee announcing its cancellation. This indicates that after the three primary counseling rounds of the NEET UG 2024, there will be no additional round to fill vacant seats.
