UPSC CSE aspirants with Imphal as exam centre can change it, Delhi High Court told

UPSC CSE: The UPSC has told the Delhi High Court that it will permit candidates from the hill districts of Manipur who have opted for Imphal as their examination centre to change it and that the state government will facilitate their travel. The commission said such aspirants can choose any of the centres in Aizawl, Mizoram; Kohima, Nagaland; Shillong, Meghalaya; Dispur, Assam; Jorhat, Assam; Kolkata, West Bengal; and Delhi by making a request for change of examination centre between April 8 and 19 through an e-mail.

The assertion came on a request by Zomi Understudies Organization looking for setting up of assessment focuses in Churachandpur and Kangpokpi in the slope regions of Manipur for Common Administrations (Primer) Assessment, 2024 and Indian Woodland Administration (Starter) Assessment, 2024. The Association Public Assistance Commission (UPSC) expressed that since the Manipur government has communicated its powerlessness to open assessment habitats in Churachandpur and Kangpokpi, it was not possible to open and work assessment scenes there for the UPSC assessment.
