UPSC : The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will close the application window for the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2025 today, February 18. Eligible candidates can apply at upsc.gov.in and upsconline.gov.in until 6 PM.

Candidates must begin by registering on the One Time Registration (OTR) platform on the UPSC website. After registration, they can proceed to fill out the online application. The application correction window will be available from February 19 to 25.

Through this recruitment drive, UPSC aims to fill approximately 979 vacancies in IPS, IAS, and IRS, along with 150 posts in the Indian Forest Service.

UPSC CSE Prelims 2025: Application Fee

The application fee for UPSC Civil Services and IFS is Rs 100. SC, ST, Divyang, and female candidates are exempt from the fee.

UPSC CSE Prelims 2025 Registration: How to Apply?

Step 1: Visit the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in and the online application portal at upsconline.gov.in

Step 2: Complete the registration process on the One Time Registration (OTR) platform

Step 3: Fill out the UPSC CSE Prelims 2025 online application form

Step 4: Upload the required documents and pay the application fee

Step 5: Submit the completed application form and download it

Step 6: Take a printout for future reference

UPSC CSE Selection Process

The UPSC Civil Services Examination consists of two stages:

Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination: This stage includes objective-type questions and selects candidates for the Main Examination. The UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2025 will take place on May 25, 2025.

Civil Services (Main) Examination: This stage includes a written test for candidates who pass the prelims.

Personality Test: This is the final interview stage of the selection process.
