UP RTE Admissions 2025: Registration Process Begins For Pre-primary Classes

UP RTE Admissions :The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Department has launched the online registration and application process for UP RTE Admission 2025-26. This initiative enables children from underprivileged and economically disadvantaged backgrounds to apply for admission to pre-primary classes in private schools, as per the Right to Education (RTE) Act. Parents can access the registration portal and submit their applications through the official website at rte25.upsdc.gov.in.

Under the Right to Education (RTE) Act of 2009, 25 percent of seats in pre-primary classes at private schools are reserved for children from marginalised and economically disadvantaged backgrounds. To qualify for admission, children must meet specific eligibility requirements. They should fall within the designated age group for pre-primary classes, generally ranging from 3 to 6 years old. Moreover, the child’s family must belong to economically weaker sections or other disadvantaged categories, ensuring equal access to education for underprivileged groups.

According to the timeline, the admission procedure will be carried out in four phases. The deadline to submit online applications for the first phase is December 19. After applications are received, a verification process at the district level will occur between December 20 and 23. Subsequently, a lottery system will be implemented to select candidates, with the draw taking place on December 24. The merit list for the first round of admissions will be announced on December 27.
