TNPSC Recruitment 2023: The Prisons & Correctional Services Department has initiated the online application process for the recruitment of Assistant Jailor (men) and Assistant Jailor (Women) vacancies by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC).

Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria and are interested in the aforementioned positions may submit their applications on tnpsc.gov.in and apply.tnpscexams.in. The deadline for submitting the applications is May 11th.

Prior to applying online for the TNPSC Assistant Jailor recruitment or any other recruitment administered by the commission, all candidates must complete a one-time online registration system and pay a fee of ₹150 to register their basic particulars. Once the registration process is completed, they can proceed with filling out the application form.

The total number of vacancies available is 59, with 54 positions open to male candidates and the remaining five positions open to female candidates. The selection process will involve a written examination comprising two papers scheduled to take place on July 1st, conducted by the commission to shortlist eligible candidates.

For the aforementioned positions, the minimum age requirement for candidates is 18 years, while the maximum age limit is 32 years as of July 1st, 2023. However, there is no maximum age limit for SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, BCMs, and destitute widows of all castes. It should be noted that the absence of an age limit implies that applicants should not have exceeded 60 years of age on either the date of notification or the date of selection/appointment to the post.
