Telangana Board Announces Revised SSC, OSSC Exam Fees Deadline

OSSC Exam : The Telangana Government Examinations Directorate has announced revised deadlines for the submission of examination fees for private, regular, and once-failed candidates appearing for the SSC, OSSC, and vocational public exams scheduled for March 2025.

The last date for candidates to pay their examination fees to the headmaster of their respective educational institutions without incurring a late fee is December 5, 2024. If candidates fail to meet this deadline, they can still submit their fees with a late fee of Rs 50 until December 12. After that, the late fee will increase to Rs 200, which can be paid until December 20. The final extended date for fee payment with a Rs 500 late fee is December 30.

For headmasters to submit the collected fees online through the Cyber Treasury portal, the last date without a late fee is December 6. After this, they can submit the fees with a late fee of Rs 500 until December 31.

Regular students are required to pay a fee of Rs 125 for all subjects, while vocational students will need to pay an additional Rs 60 on top of the regular examination fee. However, students from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Backward Classes (BC) who are appearing for the exams for the first time as regular candidates and meet the parental income eligibility criteria will be granted a complete exemption from paying the examination fees.

Furthermore, to support students from economically disadvantaged communities, the Telangana Board has declared that Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Backward Class (BC) students, who are appearing for the exams for the first time as regular candidates, will be exempt from paying the examination fee. However, to qualify for this fee exemption, students must meet certain parental income requirements, which are as follows:

For Urban Areas: The family income must not exceed Rs 24,000 per year.

For Rural Areas: The family income should not surpass Rs 20,000 annually, or the family must own no more than 2.5 acres of wetland or 5 acres of dryland.

To avail of the exemption, students are required to provide a parental income certificate, which must be issued by the Mandal Revenue Officer (MRO).
