TANCET 2025 Notification To Be Released On January 19
TANCET 2025 : Anna University, Tamil Nadu will be releasing the notification for the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) 2025 on January 19, 2025 (Sunday). The exam is held every year for admission into MBA and MCA programmes offered by various colleges and institutions across Tamil Nadu.
Interested candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can register on the official website of Anna University at tancet.annauniv.edu, once the application process begins.
Step 1: Visit the official website of TANCET at tancet.annauniv.edu
Step 2: Search for and click on the notification link available on the webpage, once released.
Step 3: The notification will appear on the screen in a PDF format
Step 4: Download and take a print out of the same for future reference.
As per last year’s exam process, candidates falling under the Scheduled Caste (SC), Special Central Assistance (SCA), and Scheduled Tribe (ST) of Tamil Nadu are required to pay Rs 500 as an application fee at the time of registration for the TANCET MCA and TANCET MBA programmes. While unreserved category candidates are required to pay Rs 1000 during registration.
The examination is held offline. Talking about the exam pattern, the TANCET question paper comprises 100 questions. Each question carries one mark. Candidates should note that for every incorrect response, a one-third mark is deducted. Furthermore, the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test is held for two hours.
To pass the exam, candidates must achieve a minimum of 50 per cent in their graduation. However, for candidates belonging to reserved categories, the minimum required percentage is 45 per cent. Those who clear the exam will next have to apply for the counselling process, the details of which will be released only the results are out.
