Tamil Nadu NMMS 2023-24 registration starts; exam on February 3, 2024

Tamil Nadu NMMS: Directorate of Government Examination, Tamil Nadu, has started the registration process for the Tamil Nadu NMMS 2023-24 exam. Students can download the Tamil Nadu National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMS) application on the official website, dge.tn.gov.in.

Students who want to take the NMMS 2023-23 exam, according to the directorate, can download the application between December 4 and December 19. By December 19, the application must be submitted to the head of the schools. Along with the application, students will be required to pay a registration fee of Rs 50.

Exam date

The Tamil Nadu NMMS test will be hung on February 3 for Class 8 understudies concentrating on in government and government supported schools perceived by the state government. The test will have two areas – mental capacity test (MAT) and educational capacities test (SAT). Understudies should address 90 numerous decision questions (MCQs) each in MAT and SAT segment. The candidates’ reasoning and critical thinking skills, as well as their verbal and nonverbal metacognitive abilities, will be put to the test in the first.

Eligibility criteria

NMMS is a scheme of the union government under which 1 lakh scholarships are awarded annually to selected students from Class 9. The government also continues scholarships in Classes 10 to 12 if students meet the prescribed criteria. The students selected in Tamil Nadu NMMS 2023 exam will be given a scholarship of Rs 12,000 per annum. Those appearing in the NMMS exam should be studying in state government, government-aided and local body schools and their family income should be less than Rs 3,50,000.
