Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar 2021 – 22 39 seminaries across India awarded out of8.23 lakh entries

In the third edition of the Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar 2021 – 22, 39 Schools across India bagged the winning prizes from among 8.23 lakh entries.

The Ministry of Education blazoned on Saturday that 39 Schools from across the nation have entered the Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar for the 2021 – 22 academic time.

Of the 8.23 lakh entries, 28 government and backed institutions and 11 private Schools were chosen. Three Kendriya Vidyalayas, one Navodaya Vidyalaya, and two Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas are among the honoured seminaries.

HOW ARE Schools estimated?

In addition to recognizing Schools that have done outstanding work in the areas of water, sanitation, and hygiene, the Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar also serves as a standard and road chart for Schools to continue making advancements.
Schools are estimated for the award grounded on six broad criteria Covid- 19( preparedness and response), handwashing with cleaner, toilets, operation and conservation, behavioural change, and water.

WHAT WINNING Schools Admit
” Out of 39 Schools, 17 are abecedarian and 22 are secondary/ advanced secondary Schools. Cash prizes of Rs60,000 to 34 seminaries( in overall order) and Rs20,000( in sub-categories) were given to the honoree Schools moment,” a Ministry of Education Official said.
