Sharmila Tagore conferred with Imtiaz-e-Jamia at JMI's 103rd foundation day
JMI’s 103rd foundation day: Actor Sharmila Tagore was conferred with Imtiaz-e-Jamia, the highest honorary award of Jamia Millia Islamia on Sunday. Tagore was conferred with the award by Jamia Vice Chancellor Najma Akhtar on the varsity’s 103rd foundation day. She received the award for her contribution to the Hindi Cinema.
“From the second I entered the college, it was a personal exciting ride for me…My work reflects 60 years of being in the public eye, and it’s endearing to see the generosity individuals have displayed to me,” Tagore, who was boss visitor on the event, said in her acknowledgment discourse.
“I’m appreciative to be regarded by the main female Bad habit Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia College,” she added Tagore likewise introduced the centennial door of the varsity alongside Akhtar and ILBS Chief Shiv Kumar Sarin.
The three was accompanied by NCC trainees when they facilitated the banner of the varsity to check the event. Imtiaz-e-Jamia is the most noteworthy honor of Jamia Millia Islamia, given to perceive the commitment of Indians towards the improvement of society.
