RRB Group D Registration Begins Today For 32,438 Posts

RRB Group D : The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will start the recruitment registration for the RRB CEN No. 08/2024 today, January 23, 2025. This notification was released on January 21 for hiring various Level 1 posts under the 7th CPC Pay Matrix. A total of 32,438 positions will be filled through the recruitment drive. The last date to apply is February 22, 2025. The RRB Group D exam will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.

RRB Group D Vacancy Details

This recruitment offers various positions such as Assistant Bridge, Assistant C&W, Assistant Depot (Stores), Assistant Loco Shed (Diesel), Track Maintainer, Cabin Man, Pointsman, and more. Candidates should check the official notification for specific vacancy details for each post.

RRB Group D Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: Candidates who have completed their 10th grade are eligible to apply for Group D positions.

ITI Diploma Requirement: An ITI diploma is no longer required for Group D applicants. Earlier, candidates for technical posts had to pass the 10th grade and hold an NCSC or ITI diploma from the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT). Now, candidates without these qualifications can also apply.

RRB Group D Age Limit

The age limit for candidates is between 18 and 36 years as of January 1, 2025.

Additionally, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a one-time age relaxation of 3 years has been granted to candidates who may have missed previous recruitment opportunities.

Male Candidates:

  • Lift 35 kg weight for 100 meters in 2 minutes without putting it down.
  • Run 1000 meters in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one attempt.

Female Candidates:

  • Lift 20 kg weight for 100 meters in 2 minutes without putting it down.
  • Run 1000 meters in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in one attempt.

RRB Group D Application Fees

For the RRB Group D Recruitment 2025, candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs 500, which will be refunded with a deduction of bank charges after appearing for the CBT.

However, candidates from the PWBD, female, transgender, ex-servicemen, SC, ST, minority communities, and EBC categories will only need to pay Rs 250, and this amount will also be refunded after the deduction of bank charges
