RRB ALP Recruitment 2025 Notification Soon, Over 9000 Assistant Loco Pilot Vacancies Expected

RRB ALP : The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is expected to release the notification for the RRB ALP (Assistant Loco Pilot) recruitment 2025 soon. The board is likely to hire for over 9000 vacancies. The application process will commence in April. Interested candidates will be able to apply online through the official RRB regional websites.

RRB ALP Recruitment 2025: Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: Candidates aspiring to apply for the RRB ALP position must meet the following eligibility criteria:

–– Candidates need to have completed Matriculation/SSLC plus ITI certificate from recognized institutions of NCVT/SCVT in the trades of Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Millwright/Maintenance Mechanic, and Mechanic.

–– Matriculation/SSLC plus completion of a course as an acting apprentice in the required trades.

–– Matriculation/SSLC plus a three-year Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile Engineering or a combination of various streams of these engineering disciplines from a recognized institution instead of ITI.

Age Limit: To be eligible for the RRB ALP (Assistant Loco Pilot) Recruitment, applicants must fall within the age range of 18 to 30 years. It is essential to use the same date of birth in the application as mentioned in the Matriculation/SSLC certificate.

Earlier, RRB cancelled the first and second shifts of the Assistant Loco Pilot Recruitment CBT-2 exam for 2024 scheduled for March 19. The new date will be announced soon. According to RRB, a technical fault prevented the Assistant Loco Pilot CBT-2 exam from being conducted on Wednesday.

“Due to unforeseen technical issues, the exam scheduled on 19.03.2025 (Shift-1 & 2) is being rescheduled for centers where the exam could not be conducted. The new exam date will be notified shortly. Candidates are advised to regularly check the official website for updates,” the notice stated.

The RRB Loco Pilot Recruitment CBT-1 exam was held from November 25 to 29, 2024, with results released on January 26, 2025. This recruitment exam aims to fill a total of 18,799 Assistant Loco Pilot vacancies across India.
