RRB ALP CBT 2 Revised Exam Schedule Released, To Begin On May 2

RRB ALP :The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) earlier cancelled the first and second shifts of the Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) Recruitment CBT-2 exam that was scheduled for March 19 due to technical issues. Now, the board has announced the revised exam dates. The exams will take place from May 2 to 6, 2025.

“The second stage of the Computer-Based Test (CBT) for CEN-01/2024, which was scheduled for 19.03.2025 & 20.03.2025, is now rescheduled to be conducted on 02.05.2025 & 06.05.2025,” reads the official notice.

According to the official notice, all those who were assigned to the first shift on March 19, 2025, but did not complete their exam will have to appear for the rescheduled exam. Those who were scheduled for the second shift on March 19, 2025, and the first shift on March 20, 2025 will also need to appear for the exam. The remaining candidates are not affected by the change in this exam date.

The CBT 2 will be held in two shifts — the first one will begin at 7:30 AM and the second one at 12:30 PM. The city intimation slips will be issued 10 days before the exam and the admit cards will be out four days before the exams begin.

“Candidates are advised to refer only to the official website of RRBs for latest updates on the recruitment process. Please do not be misled by unauthenticated sources. Beware of touts who try to misguide candidates with fake promises of appointment for jobs on illegal consideration. RRB selections are based on Computer Based Tests (CBT)and recruitment is based only on the merit of the candidates,” the official notice added.

RRB Loco Pilot Recruitment CBT-1 exam was held from November 25 to 29, 2024. Its results were released on January 26, 2025. After this, the second phase of the examination is being conducted in March.

Through this recruitment exam, the RRBs aims to fill up a total of 18,799 vacancies of Assistant Loco Pilots in the organisation across India. RRBs initially published 5,696 Assistant Loco Pilot openings, which were later expanded to 18,799 due to “additional demand received from Zonal Railways.”
