QS Asia University Rankings 2025: IIT Delhi Secures Top Spot In India

University Rankings 2025 : The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has emerged as the top performer among Indian higher education institutions (HEIs), securing the 44th spot in the QS Asia University Rankings 2025. IIT Bombay follows closely in second place within India, ranked 48th overall, while IIT Madras takes the 56th position. In total, seven Indian institutes, including five IITs, IISc Bengaluru, and the University of Delhi, have made it into the top 100 of the QS Asia University Rankings for 2025.

IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay were the only Indian institutions to secure a place in the top 50. IIT Delhi achieved an overall score of 75.4, while IIT Bombay scored 73.1. Other IITs in the top 100 include IIT Madras (56th), IIT Kharagpur (60th), and IIT Kanpur (67th). The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru secured 62nd place with a score of 68.4.

The University of Delhi ranked 81st with a score of 61.9, while Jawaharlal Nehru University placed 110th with a score of 55.2. The University of Calcutta secured the 179th spot with a score of 42.4, and Jamia Millia Islamia rounded out the list at 188th place with a score of 41.3.
