PM Modi inaugurates Nalanda University new campus

Nalanda University : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday inaugurated the new campus of Nalanda University at Rajgir in Bihar. The campus has two academic blocks with 40 classrooms having a total seating capacity of around 1,900. It has two auditoriums with a capacity of 300 seats each, a student hostel with a capacity of around 550 students and various other facilities including an international centre, an amphitheater that can accommodate up to 2,000 individuals, a faculty club and a sports complex among others.

The college grounds is a ‘Net Zero’ green grounds and is self-feasible with sun powered plant, homegrown and drinking water treatment plant, water reusing plant for reusing wastewater, 100 sections of land of water bodies, and numerous other climate accommodating offices, according to an authority explanation.

“Nalanda is more than just a name; it is also a persona and a respect. Nalanda is the root, it is the mantra. In his address to the gathering, the prime minister stated, “Nalanda is the proclamation of the truth that knowledge cannot be destroyed even though books would burn in a fire.” He emphasized that the opening of the new campus would usher in India’s golden age.

The PM featured that understudies were confessed to the old Nalanda College independent of their personalities and identities. In addition, he emphasized the necessity of preserving these ancient customs on the newly established campus. He communicated savor the experience of the way that understudies from more than 20 nations are now learning at Nalanda College.
