OUAT signs MoU with ICAR-NBPGR on research, exchange of technical ideas

ICAR-NBPGR: The Odisha University of Agriculture & Technology (OUAT), Bhubaneswar has entered into an agreement with National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources, New Delhi, (ICAR-NBPGR) on the exchange of students towards research and technical ideas.

Dayanidhi Mishra, Director of Planning and Monitoring for OUAT, and Dr. GP Singh, Director for ICAR-NBPGR, New Delhi, signed the memorandum of understanding in the presence of Pravat Kumar Roul, Vice Chancellor for OUAT. The agreement aims to exchange students for research, extensive exploration, collection, identification, and characterisation of germplasm, and other related activities.

The establishment of facilities for student exchange for academic, research, and training purposes as well as the development of mutually beneficial relationships between the two institutions will benefit from this memorandum of understanding.

This time, Prof. Roul said that research programs in agriculture and other specific areas of interest will benefit from such mutually agreed-upon collaboration.

This will assist with logical and understudy trades as well as the sharing of advancements and procedures that interest the two establishments. The creation and implementation of joint research projects will be an additional accomplishment for both institutions.

As agreed upon by both parties, sharing of laboratory resources as they become available and necessary for a program of mutual interest. At last, the understudies of OUAT and ICAR-NBPGR will be useful as end clients. On this event Teachers and staff of ICAR-NBPGR, Dignitaries, Chiefs and concerned researchers of OUAT were additionally present.
