OPSC Recruitment 2022: For Statistical Officers

OPSC Recruitment 2022: Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has notified vacancies for the posts of Statistical Officers in Group B of the Odisha Subordinate Statistics and Economic Service cader under the Planning and Convergence Department. The operation process will commence on December 30 and the deadline for the submission of the operation form is January 30, 2023.

Educational Qualification:

  • A campaigner must be a Graduate having Honours in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Application, Physics, Economics, Applied Economics, Agricultural Economics, Sociology, or Econometrics or have a degree in Commerce with distinction on or before the last date of submission of the online operation form.

Age Limit:

  • A campaigner must be the age of 21 years and mustn’t be above the age of 38 years as of the first day of January 2022.

Mode of Selection:

  • Exam in two parts:
    Written Examination – 400 Marks
    Viva Voce Test – 100 Marks
  • The written examination shall comprise two Papers each carrying 200 marks.
  • Each paper shall consist of 100 questions and each question shall be of 2 marks.
  • The pattern of questions for Paper–I & Paper–II shall be of Objective and MCQ type.
  • The duration of the written examination for Paper–I shall be 2 hours and for Pape –II shall be 03 hours.
  • There shall be negative markings for wrong answers and for each wrong answer 0.50 (25% of marks distributed to each question) shall be subtracted from the marks awarded for correct answers.
