Odisha Police SI Exam 2025 Postponed, New Schedule To Be Released Soon

Police SI Exam 2025 : The Odisha Police Recruitment Board (OPRB) has announced the postponement of the recruitment examination for Sub Inspector (SI) posts. The Odisha Police SI 2025 exam, initially scheduled for March 8 and 9, has been deferred until further notice.

“This is to inform you that the Combined Police Service Examination – 2024, scheduled for March 8th and 9th, 2025, is deferred for the time being. Further intimation will be made later,” reads the official notification.

The new exam dates will be announced soon on the official OPRB website at odishapolice.gov.in.

Odisha Police SI Recruitment 2025: Vacancy Details

This recruitment drive seeks to fill 933 vacancies across various posts, including Sub-Inspector (SI) of Police (Armed), Station Officer (Fire Service), and Assistant Jailor. The selection process will include a written exam, physical efficiency test, and document verification.

  • Sub-Inspector of Police: 609 vacancies
  • Sub-Inspector of Police (Armed): 253 vacancies
  • Station Officer (Fire Service): 47 vacancies
  • Assistant Jailor under Home Department, Government of Odisha: 24 vacancies

Odisha Police SI Examination 2025

The Combined Competitive Recruitment Examination will consist of the following stages:

Written Test (OMR-based)

Physical Standard Test and Physical Efficiency Test, which will be qualifying in nature.

Written Examination Scheme: The written examination will be Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and will be conducted via OMR (Optical Mark Recognition). The details for each paper are as follows:

Paper-I: General English and Odia Language

Maximum Marks: 100

Time: 90 Minutes

Type: MCQs

Paper-II: General Studies

Maximum Marks: 200

Time: 180 Minutes

Type: MCQs

Paper-III (For Station Officer-Fire Service Post only): Technical Paper

Maximum Marks: 200

Time: 180 Minutes

Type: MCQs

Total Marks for Written Examination: 500

Each correct answer will carry 1 mark, and there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer. No marks will be awarded or deducted for un-attempted questions.
