On Wednesday, the most recent MBBS calendar 2022-23 and curriculum were made available by the National Medical Commission (NMC). The updated schedule can now be found on the NMC’s official website, nmc.org.in.
The revised schedule states that the first phase of the MBBS program’s academic year will now last until December 15, 2023.
The time available is approximately 42 weeks (excluding 15 weeks), during which the preliminaries and university exams will take almost 10 weeks to complete, vacations will last three weeks, and public holidays will last two weeks.
In the first phase of MBBS, 1638 hours will be available for instruction and learning.
From December 16, 2023 to January 15, 2025, the academic calendar for phase two of the MBBS will continue for 1638 hours (39 weeks).
The third phase of the MBBS curriculum will start on January 16, 2025, and end on November 30, 2025. The time allotted is approximately 10.5 months. 46 weeks), and there are 35 weeks of available time.
The fourth phase of the MBBS program will run from December 1, 2025 to May 15, 2027. The total amount of time available is 57 weeks, excluding 21 weeks, and the time allotted is 17.5 months (approximately 78 weeks).
The new calendar says that the degree will take 6864 hours to complete, and clinical postings will take 132 weeks.
