NMC announces schedule for seat increase, starting of new specialty courses, colleges

NMC : The National Medical Commission (NMC) has announced the schedule for approval or disapproval of increase of seats, starting of new broad and super specialty courses, and establishment of new medical colleges for the academic year 2024-25. Accordingly, colleges can send their applications for undergraduate medical seats to the Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) by tomorrow, September 17.

“All concerned are thus educated regarding the accompanying supported timetable/plan for fulfillment of endorsement/objection for increment of seats/beginning new wide claim to fame and super-specialty courses/foundation of new clinical school/restoration of school for scholastic year 2024-25,” NMC said in a notification while sharing the timetable.

In February of next year, the medical board will announce its final approval or disapproval decision, which will include technical scrutiny, assessment, issuance of show cause, and the opportunity to rectify defects, among other things. NMC will finish the seat lattice and confirm the information in May.
